His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, stressed that the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to choose a young man or woman under the age of 25 to be part of the cabinet team, and to represent the youth issues and ambitions, embodies a great thought and ambitious vision of our wise leadership, in order to enable and enhance the role of the youth in the first place in serving the community, and engage them in the national strategic decisions, because they are the ones who can better express the renewable and developed issues of youth.
His Excellency pointed out at the same time that His Highness’s vision confirms our government’s confidence in the youth, as they are the backbone of the country, and they represent its promising future, and everyone should work to drive them towards leadership and development, and that is the national responsibility of the educational institutions in particular, since the youth represent a large segment of the society, and everyone should work to provide them with all the requirements for success that make them able to bear the responsibility.
His Excellency also confirmed that the UAE youth are loyal to their country, and have what it takes to become a distinguished generation able to give and serve the country and its leadership, as the State always works to provide all the requirements of keeping up with the development, especially education in all fields and development of its outputs, in line with today’s requirements, explaining that most institutions of higher education are always working to develop its academic programs to meet the needs of the labor market and the requirements of sustainable national development projects, and the universities have supplied many institutions with young national cadres that assumed leadership positions, and achieved tremendous success.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan pointed out that the UAE is always proactive in adopting initiatives that will make a quantum leap of progress, development and prosperity for our beloved country, which believes in our youth’s ability to achieve this ambitious national experience, because of their loyalty to their country.
