Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Mexico in the field of education and scientific research

His Excellency Sheikh “Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan”, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, signed on Tuesday 19th of January with his Excellency “Aurelio Nuno Mayer”, Public Education Secretary of Mexico, a Memorandum of Understanding regarding ways to boost co-operation and exchange of expertise in the education and scientific research fields, among several agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the UAE and the United Mexican States.
This came after talks by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and “Enrique Pena Nieto”, President of the United Mexican States, regarding a number of regional and international issues of joint interest, and ways to enhance cooperation for the benefit of supporting sustainable development in various countries as well as building communication bridges among peoples across the world to reach justice, stability and peace concepts, in addition they exchanged talks on ways to promote trade, cultural and tourist horizons between the two countries, as well as methods to build constructive investment partnerships, especially in the oil and renewable energy sectors, in the best interests of the two friendly peoples and countries, a Memoranda of Understanding on tourism cooperation, and a memorandum to promote cultural exchanges between the two sides, and a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries’ energy ministries in the oil and gas sectors, and an agreement on the protection and promotion of investments, a memorandum of understanding on strengthening cooperation in the field of clean energy and energy issues related to climate change.
Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, signed a memorandum of understanding, and Masdar Institute and the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico, signed a MoU to establish a joint Post Graduate program, the Dubai Economic Council and the Mexican National Bank for Foreign Trade also signed a MoU on credit and banking institutions in Mexico. Mubadala Petroleum and Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) have signed an agreement to provide the basis for discussions between the two companies and their affiliates about potential opportunities and the exchange of expertise in various disciplines.
