The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh \u201cHamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan\u201d, advised (12th<\/sup>) grade students to carefully choose the specialties they intend to study to suit their abilities and capabilities, as well as their aspirations, taking into account the labor market needs and the requirements of sustainable development. His Excellency\u2019s \u00a0advice comes to students in the current period, during which they are fill out the online application for admission to government institutions of higher education; the “UAE University”, “Zayed University”, and “Higher Colleges of Technology”, in addition to technical and vocational institutes in the State, where the study and practical training are in accordance with scientific and advanced process frameworks, closely linked to the requirements of the industrial growth and the world’s economy in general and in the State specifically.<\/p>\n One of these institutes is the \u201cAbu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training\u201d which includes; the \u201cInstitute of Applied Technology\u201d, \u201cAbu Dhabi Polytechnic”, the “Fatima College of Health Sciences\u201d and the \u201cAbu Dhabi Vocational Education Institute”, which was established with the aim of increasing the numbers of young qualified Emirati personnel with rewarding careers with opportunities for continuous learning, and personal and professional development, which recently announced the acceptance of (1751) local students in the academic year (2013\/2014) in its five institutes: the \u201cAl Jazirah Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi\u201d, \u201cAl Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology in Al Ain\u201d, \u201cBaynounah Institute of Science and Technology in Al Gharbia\u201d, \u201cAl Reef Institute of Logistics and Applied Technology in Al Shahama\u201d, and \u201cSharjah Institute of Science & Technology in Sharjah\u201d, teaching (13) specialties required in the labor market in the State.<\/p>\n The institutes have receiving an increase in demand in recent years, where the “Institute of Science and Technology in Al Ain\u201d accepted (209) female students during the first term of (2013-2014), as the largest batch it has accepted since the opening of the Institute in (2005), and the “Fatima College of Health Sciences” has accepted (402) female students, where citizens represent (70%) of them, which is a positive indication of the high degree of awareness of the importance of appropriate professional specialization among the citizens and the community in general.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh \u201cHamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan\u201d, advised (12th) grade students to carefully choose the specialties they intend to study to suit their abilities and capabilities, as well as their aspirations, taking into account the labor market needs and the requirements of sustainable development.
